Clarksdale Public Utilities’ new mobile app is now available and makes doing business with CPU easier and more convenient. Customers who download the free app can check balances, pay bills, sign up for notifications and manage multiple accounts — all from their iPhone and Android smartphones.
“CPU’s mobile app is an important milestone in our Bright Future initiative to improve service,” said Curtis D. Boschert, CPU general manager. “The app builds on our upgraded PowerLine portal launched earlier this year to give customers more access and more control over their CPU accounts. These new tools are examples of ways we are using technology to enhance service and strengthen our connection with customers.”
CPU’s mobile app provides 24/7 secure access to customers’ utility accounts. Bill payments post immediately, and customers who have multiple accounts can view them all at once and selectively make payments. App users can view detailed billing and usage history in customizable time frames, which can help them gain insights into their energy use to lower bills and save money.
Customers also can use the app to sign up for CPU services, such as electronic billing and alerts to let them know when bills are due or past due. CPU offers a variety of billing and payment programs designed to fit customers’ budget and payment preferences.
Customers who use CPU’s mobile app must be registered in the PowerLine portal; those who are not registered can use the app to create a portal ID. CPU’s website includes instructions for downloading and using the app. Customers who have questions or need assistance are encouraged to contact CPU at 662-627-8499.
